Biotin or Vitamin B7 is a subgroup of Vitamin B. Biotin is primarily used in the utilisation of fats, carbohydrates, and amino acids within the human metabolic system. More specifically, it assists enzymes to break down fats, carbohydrates, and proteins, and also helps to regulate signals sent by cells and the activity of genes.
Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin, stable at room temperature, and not destroyed by cooking. Biotin is found in foods like eggs, milk, and bananas.
